Introduction

The Cytogenetics Platform facilitates the knowledge and performance of techniques, analysis, interpretation and advice in the specialty of cytogenetics, karyotyping and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), in different types of biological and medical tissue samples and cell lines. Due to the similarity of the used techniques, the Cytogenetics Platform works jointly with the Microarrays Platform. The Unit is certified by the ISO 9001 standard for cytogenetic diagnosis.
