The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute stabilizes 21 structural positions, becoming one of the fastest growing research centers in Catalonia
The Official Journal of the Generalitat of Catalonia has just published the resolution that stabilizes 21 places in the administration units and common services of the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute. With this stabilization, the Research Institute adopts an indefinite hiring scheme, as commanded by the latest Spanish labor reform.

The new structure of working positions, which can be consulted on the Institute's web site, allows it to consolidate its growth and establish itself as one of the scientific institutions with the most important projection in Catalonia.
The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute is a non-profit research institute located in Badalona (Barcelona), dedicated to biomedical research and personalized medicine in the field of leukemia and other malignant blood pathologies.
It was founded in 2010 by the Josep Carreras Foundation and the Generalitat de Catalunya, its current director is Dr. Manel Esteller, internationally recognized researcher for his work on the epigenetics of cancer. The Institute hosts 38 groups of scientific excellence devoted to basic, epidemiological, clinical, and translational research on leukemia and other hematological diseases. Their efforts are directed towards the identification of new therapeutic targets and the development of effective treatments through frontier research.
