The Badalona Centre Internacional de Negocis (BCIN) is hosting the signing of the collaboration agreement between the Josep Carreras Institute against Leukemia and the Federació Empresarial de Badalona (FEB) on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Dr. Manel Esteller has represented the Institute in the event as responsible for this synergy, which was also attended by Mr. Josep Maria Fluvià, FEB’s president, and Mr. Àlex Montornès, Business Councilor of Badalona City Council.

The agreement establishes the relationship between the two entities, whose main objective is to promote the services and activities of the Institute among the entities associated with the FEB, promoting economic development in its field of action. The agreement makes the Josep Carreras Institute a collaborating entity of the FEB, which will publicize its research, facilities and advances among representatives of the political and business world of the territory.

"At the Josep Carreras Research Institute, we research cancer, specifically blood cancer, and provide knowledge. Alliances with companies can be key to technology transfer ”, concludes Dr. Esteller.

The Federació Empresarial de Badalona has been the representative entity of the companies located in the city since 1977. Its aim is to promote economic and business activity within the territory of the city it represents, as well as being a mediating entity between public organizations and administrations.
