Pirret Sport Jewel will donate 10% of the sale of its jewels to the Epigenetic Cancer Research Group

Pirret Sport Jewel, a brand of exclusive and personalized jewellery inspired by the values and modalities of sport, will contribute to the research of the Cancer Epigenetics research group led by Manel Esteller.

Dr. Esteller's group seeks the keys to the development of cancerous processes by studying the regulation of gene expression, or what is known as epigenetics. Pirret Sport Jewel will donate 10% of the sale of its jewels to the research carried out by Dr. Esteller's group, currently the most cited and influential biomedical researcher in Spain (Stanford U., 2019)

The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute is a public research centre that investigates the basic, epidemiological, preventive, clinical, and translational aspects of leukaemia and other haematological malignancies. It has four campuses linked to the Germans Trias Hospital in Badalona, the Clínic and Sant Pau Hospitals in Barcelona, and the Trueta Hospital in Girona. Its research consists of three programs: Epigenetics and Biology of Cancer and Leukaemia, Experimental and Clinical Haematology, and Epidemiology of Leukaemia.

Pirret Sport Jewel is a brand of the entrepreneur and jewelry designer Andreu Gelabert, who runs the Gelabert watch jewelry shop, an emblematic shop in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona). With this donation, he wants to contribute to the advance of research against leukaemia and cancer and support their cure. This kind gesture has influenced the adaptation of their corporate image as Pirret.10.
