On April 21 in the afternoon, the digital magazine Mujeres & Cia. Organized the annual gala to announce the top 100 women in the "Top 100 Women Leaders" ranking. The event, with a hybrid format, on-site and virtual, was conducted by the journalist, television presenter and writer Sonsoles Ónega and was attended by the Second Vice President of the Government, Nadia Calviño, and the special performance of the soprano Pilar Jurado.

In this ninth edition, more than 500 candidates, distributed in 10 categories ranging from senior business management to scientific research, received more than 75,000 votes from 32,000 voters, establishing a new participation record.

Precisely in this last category, "academics, scientists and thinkers", Dr. Anna Bigas, Deputy Director of Preclinical Research at the Josep Carreras Institute and head of the Stem Cells and Cancer group at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) was awarded.
