Javier Grau is an attending physician in the Cytogenetics Department of Hematology at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO)- Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and is specialized in myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative disorders. He is working on several research projects at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) and he collaborates with Francesc Solé’s team in the field of myelodysplastic syndromes. Dr. Grau received his M.D. from the Autonomous University of Barcelona Medical School. He trained as a resident in Hematology-Hemotherapy at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital from 1997 to 2001. He completed his doctorate at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with the doctoral thesis “Acute myelogenous leukemia after hematopetic progenitor cells transplant in patients with acute myelogenous leukemmia: cytogenetic and molecular features”
