Requirements

Applicants must meet the Scheme’s eligibility requirements, outlined below:

-Have obtained the doctoral degree between January 2013 and December 2018.

-Have a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain.

-Have not resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three years.

Research Description

We welcome applications from outstanding researchers eager to study chromatin dynamics during the ageing of the haematopoietic system at Dr. José Sardina’s Epigenetic control of haematopoiesis Group for the Beatriu de Pinós Fellowships Call.

Epigenetic Control of Haematopoiesis Group is working to uncover the molecular mechanisms governing blood cell fate decisions, with a special interest in those leading to the onset and development of myeloid malignancies. To address this goal, they are combining transcriptome (by RNA-seq) and epigenomic profiling (by WG(ox)BS-seq, ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq for histone marks) in primary blood samples with in-depth molecular studies (by CRISPR/Cas9 (epi)genome editing) in unique models of experimentally induced blood cell fate conversions.

The vision of the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute is that research will identify new therapeutic targets and enable us to develop more precise and less aggressive treatments. Therefore, you must be available to work in the Beatriu de Pinós proposal considering that the call deadline is 11/03/2021.
